Design Exhibition
Design Exhibition is a space dedicated to architecture, design, and creative thought, set in a direct relationship with the nature of Da Lat.
The exterior concept originates from the existing pine forest terrain.
Rather than placing a volume on a flat plane, Kengo Kuma & Associates chose to peel back and elevate a layer of soil, allowing the building to form along the natural contours of the land.
The kobadate timber wall system is composed of fine wooden slats, creating a subtle partition that allows light and views to pass through while maintaining spatial continuity.
Inside, the exhibition space presents key architectural drawings, models and design works created by the legends behind HAUS Da Lat. Each exhibit goes beyond displaying completed forms to illuminate the inner design thinking – spanning material choices, light craft, and the direct relationship between human presence and nature.
